When Tarek coaches, he always asks his clients, "Are you working in the business, or are you working on the business?" Tarek himself is a fan and believer of delegation. Tarek shared his way of delegating tasks to his team, so business owners who listen to this podcast can grasp how delegation works.

Here’s how he delegates tasks while maintaining overall control of the business: 

  • Setting up clear instructions and objectives - Whether you hire an employee or outsource a task to a freelancer or Virtual Assistant, it's always a good idea to set expectations, goals, and what you want to achieve for them; that way, they'll know what and how to get it done correctly.

  • Outsourcing or hiring the perfect person - Setting up instructions and objectives isn’t enough to get a task done correctly. Delegating a specific task to a person with specialized experience in their field of expertise is also a good way to make delegation more efficient and effective.
