SmartVAs was founded by a Filipino in the United States, Kristy Yoder. Being a multi-skilled leader, she worked her way up from being a freelance virtual assistant and digital marketer to becoming an entrepreneur.
While working with clients, Kristy saw the growing demand for dependable virtual support and recognized an opportunity to create meaningful home-based careers for talented professionals in the Philippines.
She also saw another challenge: businesses needed more than skilled virtual assistants — they needed reliable teams, consistent quality, and accountability.
