Why a Virtual Assistant May Not Be Your Best First Hire and What to Do Instead With Nicole Bandes | Ep 132

In  today's Master Delegator Podcast, I'm joined by Nicole Bandes, a "mom entrepreneur" who provides virtual assistant services to help business owners make more time for what matters most. Listen in as she shares her journey as an entrepreneur and CEO of Virtual A Team company, and Why a Virtual Assistant May Not Be Your Best First Hire and What to Do Instead.

Why a Virtual Assistant May Not Be Your Best First Hire

It is true that hiring a virtual assistant can help you grow your business quickly, but as a business owner, you must be a "MASTER DELEGATOR" to do so, which means you must know what you want to delegate, why you want to delegate, what kind of virtual assistants you need, your goals, and strategies. All of these things are important to delegate effectively because they are part of the Standard Operating ProcedureS (SOP)  that your VAs must follow in order to function effectively in your business.

Hiring a virtual assistant will never work for you if you can't even identify what's wrong and what's needed in your business. Instead, you can first understand your business needs, such as finding, hiring, training, and managing your team, and then perhaps hire a virtual business manager rather than virtual assistants. That way, you'll have someone to assist you in developing your SOP and putting it into action. Once that is okay and settled, you can go ahead and hire a virtual assistant who best fits your business's needs.

About Nicole Bandes:

Nicole Bandes, founder and CEO of Virtual A Team, is intensely committed to guiding entrepreneurs and small business owners to find their  own zone.

Nicole's mission goes beyond the basics  due to the tragic loss of her son on July 4, 2013. Through her grief and recovery, Nicole found her purpose in helping people achieve more time for what matters most because for her, time is a very personal thing. Virtual A Team was born in an effort to overcome the biggest challenges business owners face when working with virtual teams. Nicole now averages less than 20 hours a week in her business and makes time for travel, family and the really important things in life.
